The Lost Franklin Expedition Ship
An expedition, well-funded and well-equipped led by a British explorer, Sir John Franklin in 1845 lost sight after it entered Arctic. The voyage was never heard about again. For a long time, the fate of the voyage remained unknown. In 1859, a rescue mission was conducted which discovered two notes under a rock cairn on King William Island. According to the first note, the ships were trapped in ice owing to which the crew decided to winter on the island. As per the second note, the ships remained stuck for over a year with the crew experiencing a high and mysterious mortality rate. The leader, Franklin was dead, and the rest of the crew had the intention of walking to the south. However, they failed to survive. The hunters reported that bones marked by metal saws were discovered which gave rise to the conclusion that the white men were indulged in cannibalism and had been feeding off one another. Attempts were made to find the wreckage of the ship, but the endeavors bore no fruit. In 2014, one of the ships was discovered which contained clues as to what exactly happened on the voyage. The search for the second ship is still underway, and there is a high probability that it will soon be found.

For around 150 years, the scholars were rather baffled owing to a series of mysterious notes that were found in an ancient copy of Homer’s Odyssey. The language was unknown, and the scholars could not gauge their meaning. The matter was not resolved till the prevalence of the internet. It was revealed by Italians, Daniele Metilli and Giula Accetta that the notes were written in shorthand that was invented by Jean Coulon de Thevenot. According to him, around 1100 liters of alcohol leaked on the boat and the crew left the ship following the alcohol explosion. The explosion would have blown hatches open but no trace of damage was found.

Chelsea Bruck attended a Halloween party in 2014 wherein she came dressed as poison ivy. She then went home at 3 AM with a man wearing a costume. No one knew who he was and she never reached home. In 2016, the police narrowed down a suspect, Daniel Clay whose girlfriend claimed that he had confessed to the murder. The baby was raped by her cousin and to prevent her from screaming, he smothered her, thereby killing her accidentally. He confided to his sister who advised him to dispose of the body. The missing case was not reported by Margarita since she was an illegal immigrant and could not speak English. She was afraid of being deported, and thus the case went unreported.

Four boys discovered a skull inside a witch-hazel tree in 1943 in Worcestershire. Police then came across the body of a woman which looked as though it had been subjected to ritualistic murder. The case turned creepy when graffiti started appearing around the town reading, who put Bella in the Wych Elm? The body remained unclaimed, and no missing reports were made.
