Get ready for bargains galore on July 10th.
What’s the biggest shopping day in the calendar? Black Friday? Well, perhaps for traditional shoppers who like to cram themselves into department stores and fight thousands of other people for a deal, sure. Cyber Monday, perhaps? Yeah, that brings in a lot of cash. But it’s neither of those days.
It’s Amazon Prime Day 2017. Yep. The world’s biggest online retailer has its own special discount day. It has done for two years now. And it is HUGE. More money changes hands on Amazon Prime Day than on Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. It’s massive for Amazon and massive for consumers with prime free two-day shipping.
If you like a bargain (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?), then you need to pay attention. We’ll tell you all you need to know about Amazon Prime Day 2017…

How many products will be on sale? Amazon are cutting prices on an enormous range of items. In fact, over 100,000 products will be available at a knocked down rate “Big Deals” on Monday.
How do you qualify? Well, all you really need is a device connected to a computer or your kindle and an Amazon Prime account. And, of course, the desire to buy things on the cheap!
Isn’t it actually a bit of a let down? Well, it has been. 2016 was pretty good. But the first ever Amazon Prime Day, the year before, was a disaster. It was set up to celebrate the firm’s 20th anniversary, but it didn’t quite go to plan. Discounts weren’t that great, the items selected were poor, there were technical glitches… But Amazon say that 2017 will be smooth sailing and everyone will be pleased with it.
There are huge savings to be had on Amazon Prime Day, so make sure you stock up!
30 hours? Is that it? Well, yes. For the main day. But the week leading up to Amazon Prime Day
Has been sales galore. And all themed, with a different theme each day…
- July 5th: Alexa voice shopping
- July 6th: Amazon Music

After that 6pm Pacific start time, Amazon Prime Day carries on for a further thirty hours until it stops at 11.59pm Pacific on Tuesday (2.59am Wednesday for Eastern).
